Sex and the City 2, the sequel to the classic TV show hits the big screen. We pick up with Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha two years after the events of the previous film. Not that you need to have seen it to be able to figure out where they are now in their lives. Carrie and Mr. Big are still figuring out married life, Charlotte is concerned about her hot Irish nanny’s aversion to wearing a bra, Miranda has a new boss who doesn’t respect her and Samantha is battling menopause with help from Suzanne Somers. All four of them are wealthy and have everything they ever dreamed of, yet none of them are particularly happy with their fabulous New York lives.

So, the girls jet off on a fabulous all expense paid trip, true Sex and the City style. They are whisked away from New York to one of the most luxurious, exotic and vivid places on earth, where the party never ends and there’s something mysterious around every corner, Abu Dhabi. It’s an escape that comes exactly at the right moment for the four friends, who are finding themselves in—and fighting against—the traditional roles of marriage, motherhood and more. After all, sometimes you just have to get away with the girls.

This movie is not plot driven, but rather a vision of fashion, shoes, surroundings and men. Throw in some giggles (may have been larger laughs after a few Cosmopolitans), some celebrity cameos including Miley Cyrus and Liza Minnelli, and even more fashion and you will be somewhat entertained. True Sex and the City fans will find it enjoyable, yet may miss the well known New York surroundings the show was known for. For those not fans of the show – don’t bother!
