Garnier Ambre Solaire Natural Bronzer

garnierbronzerApproaching Spring, I needed to do something about my lily white skin. I couldn’t stomach the thought of wearing cute leg-baring skirts and short sleeve tops, when people would have to shield their eyes from my snowy skin. Sun-baking and solariums are a no-no for me, so my only option is fake tan. I’m not a huge fan of those salon spray tans, as they quickly become very expensive with regular use. So it comes down to home self-tanning.

This year I tested Garnier Ambre Solaire Natural Bronzer Micro-Diffusing Self-Tanning Spray. The bottle and nozzle are very well designed, making it easy to get to those hard to reach places like behind the legs and back. It is a lovely light mist and also dries really quickly. This relieves the need to stand there like a naked scarecrow for hours and instead you can get dressed right away.

I reached the colour I was happy with after only 2 applications. Being so pale, I only need a hint of colour to look tanned. I have been re-spraying once or twice a week to maintain the colour. It really does look natural and makes my skin look sun-kissed and luminous, rather than the orange that fake tans of the past have produced. The finish is streak-free and because you don’t need to rub it in, the palms of your hands remain untanned, therefore avoiding the obvious fake tan tell-tail sign.

I am very happy with this product, and I have tried a lot of fake tans in my time. I definitely think that this one could be a keeper.
