bondsimageWe all know that Bonds is an iconic Aussie brand. They may have been around forever, but have they moved with the times to ensure their clothing is still as relevant and comfortable today as it was almost a century ago? We let our reviewers put them to the test with a selection of new season products. Here’s what they had to say.

I tried out the Bonds Bumps Maternity Stretch Knit Skirt. It’s a tube skirt with a stretchy waist panel which can be worn over or under the belly.  As the whole skirt is stretchy, it’s actually super comfy. I have also found it to be really versatile. As I’m still working, it looks perfect with a nice top and heels, dressed up for work. But I’ve also worn it on the weekend with a casual top and ballet flats, or a jumper and boots for a more relaxed look. Even approaching summer, I think it will look great with a singlet and thongs. This is a great basic piece, which can be dressed up or down and I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of it.

I tested the Bonds Supershape Bra. I love the look of it. It has an ultra smooth finish, so it doesn’t show through clothes. I love that the tag is printed onto the fabric, so you don’t get it peeking out the back of the bra. I find it really comfortable. The cups have a slight stretch to them, so it fits beautifully. It doesn’t dig into the shoulders, or under the cups. It feels lightweight, but still supportive. I think it’s a great everyday bra.

I reviewed the Bonds Relax Scoop Neck Tee.  This is just a really basic, really comfy weekend tee. It’s a loose fit so you don’t have to worry about that extra slice of cake you had for Friday morning tea. But it’s not so loose that it looks like you’re wearing your partner’s tee. It’s made with organic cotton, so it’s beautifully soft. And it also washes up brilliantly. I got it in wild strawberry, which is a gorgeous colour, and looks great with denim, grey or black bottoms.  I think this will fast become a weekend favourite.

My review if for the Bonds men’s Classic Tee and Boxers. The tee is a nice fit – not too tight and not too loose. It’s very comfy and looks just as good with jeans, shorts or trackies. The boxers are ultra light and comfy. They feel nice and cool all day, or great as pjs at night.

It sounds like our reviews are very happy with their Bonds products. They seem to live up to their tagline of “very comfy clothing since 1915”. Not only that, but they have also managed to make their super comfy clothing ultra fashionable. What will the next 95 years bring?
