Jeans West Delivers

jwestLisa: When I was pregnant with my daughter, I found heaps of great, stylish, affordable maternity tops, but couldn’t say the same for jeans. I must have tried on 50 pairs of jeans. They either didn’t fit right, or were far too expensive. I couldn’t justify $250+ on a pair of jeans I was going to get maybe six months wear out of. So I reluctantly ended up wearing my normal jeans with those button-on belly bands for as long as I could, and then resorted to stretchy or maternity pants and skirts.

This time around, I have come across Jeanswest maternity denim. I tried them on, hopeful that they would fit well, yet expecting that they probably wouldn’t. But I am pleased to announce that these Jeanswest maternity jeans fit like a glove. They were snug at first, and like all good jeans, stretched to ultimate comfort within a few hours of wearing. They also washed beautifully, returning to their original snugness. After wearing these Jeanswest maternity jeans in through a few washes and wears, they now feel like a cozy pair of track pants, while still feeling snug and looking chic, all at the same time.

There are 2 styles of Jeanswest maternity jeans – stretch bootleg in a mid wash and slim straight leg in a dark rinse wash. Both styles include a double layered multi task belly band and adjustable elastic for the ultimate in comfort & mock fly detail and traditional five pocket styling for the ultimate in style. What’s more, they sell for $65 a pair, or just $99 for both! Where were you three years ago Jeanswest???

Ali: I have never been happy with any of my maternity jeans. Throughout my previous pregnancies, I have bought several pairs, none lasting more than a few months. A couple of pairs stretched out of shape, beyond all recognition. And no amount of washing and drying helped the situation. Another pair I had, the belly band just couldn’t keep it together and fell apart within a few wears.

When I tried on the Jeanswest maternity jeans, they instantly felt fantastic. But I had to see how they would last though my daily wash and wear test. After a few days they were holding up well. No signs of distress. Still looked and felt great. After a few more days, still perfect. These just might be my very first maternity jeans that will last throughout the entire pregnancy, and beyond!

The Jeanswest bootlegs are great for everyday, while the straight legs are perfect for dressing up with heels, or under boots. I have to say that I love the styling details, as they look like normal jeans. I am also shocked that they are so comfortable. They belly band is really snug and comfy and the adjustable button on the elastic ensures that they stay up. It’s no fun supporting a huge baby bump while you are constantly hitching up your pants!

Just note that the Jeanswest maternity jeans are fairly long. This is great if you are tall and usually find jeans lacking in length. But if you are more vertically challenged, you will probably have to roll them up, or have them taken up.

All in all, I love Jeanswest maternity jeans. The colours are fashionable, the shapes are amazing and they fit perfectly. And you just can’t go past the quality and styling for that price!
