Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds tells the story of a squad of Jewish American soldiers dropped into Nazi occupied France. Their mission is to kill as many Nazi soldiers as possible, in the most gruesome manner.

They are led by a lieutenant from Tennessee (Brad Pitt) who has American Indian blood in him. Hence the wholesale scalping of the Nazi soldiers.

At the same time, there is an elaborate plot to kill the German High Command, including Hitler, at the screening of a German propaganda film. On their heels in an SS Officer known as The Jew Hunter. Actor Christoph Waltz won the Best Actor award for this role at Cannes.

There are many sub-plots and twists and turns to keep you absorbed until the very end. Like most Tarantino movies, it is very blood thirsty and has a far-fetched, but satisfying ending.
